英語裡的 live for today 如果沒了上文下理，到底該是如何翻譯成中文？是活在當下？還是今朝有酒今朝醉？


在這裡我要說的，不是陳奕迅的 CD 名字，那是香港歌神許冠傑多年以前翻唱自樂隊 "The Grass Roots" 於1967年推出的英語歌 Let’s Live For Today, 到了 2010 年，重聽這首快要橫跨半個世紀的原唱歌，你會明白甚麼叫歷久常新、甚麼叫黃金旋律，還有這歌的首幾句歌詞，寫得非常有意義。


當 2010 年的英語「正確」讀法都能成為新聞並引來討論，我會覺得，一個吹毛求疵的年代，可能已經正式開始，就如同我希望找出 Live for today 的精準中文翻譯一樣。
