臨近聖誕，就想起 2003 年的電影 [ Love Actually ] （港譯《真的戀愛了》），電影中凱倫（Emma Thompson飾）在確定老公外遇後的那場戲裡，沒有對白，沒有哭哭啼啼的畫面。她獨自躲在房間內，靜靜地依偎在床邊的衣櫃，聆聽著一把飽歷滄桑的女聲唱出 Both Sides Now, 在那一刻，她領悟到人生真諦。


在 [ Love Actually ] 的DVD裡，導演 Richard Curtis 對Joni Mitchell 在 2000 年的重唱版 Both Sides Now 用這麼一段的話來形容：

“Joni Mitchell wrote this song when she was around 25. It was a precocious song really, talking about love and life and all that, when she was just a young girl really. But many years later, she sang this song again, with this kind of voice that had smoked 10,000 cigarettes, it all makes sense.”


我這次放上 Joni Mitchell 於2000 年的重唱版 Both Sides Now, 是因為我最喜歡裡面 Emma Thompson 的這一段戲。 聆聽請按這裡 。
